Painted Bedroom Furniture

Inglish Design have just completed some beautiful wardrobes in Harrogate. Designed and made to measure wardrobes are something that Inglish Design manufacture frequently. However this project was a bit different, as the wardrobes were designed to look like a panelled wall. The client wanted the wardrobes to provide them with storage but not appear as a standard wall of fitted wardrobes. Our plain shaker panel design was made to panel the wall, while internally we provided hanging storage and shelves. Doors were hung on touch catches so that handles were not required. As the room had an angled ceiling at each side the furniture was custom made to suit and fitted perfectly.

Like many of our bedrooms and wardrobes the furniture was hand painted in an eggshell finish using Farrow and Ball Elephants Breath paint. This colour is a warm neutral with a gentle tone, perfect for a bedroom. Internally the carcasses were oak veneered, adding a natural wamrth to the look when the doors are open.

The end result, a beautifully hand crafted wall of furniture in a timeless design.
