Bespoke Kitchen Storage and Design
Our Bespoke Kitchens are not just beautifully made, but can use every inch of space to maximise your kitchen storage.
Compared to 15 years ago kitchen cabinets now offer around 25 per cent more usable storage, a feat achieved by the many clever internal storage solutions, This can be enhanced further by bespoke kitchen design. The beauty of an Inglish Design bespoke kitchen is the ability to use every inch of your available space. Opt for drawers rather than shelves, and have deep storage rather than standard depth kitchen cabinets – because your kitchen is made to measure you can have whatever you want ! A well designed custom made kitchen cabinet can fill every inch available. A successful kitchen design does utilises all space and makes access as easy as possible for the user. Pre manufactured kitchen integral fittings are also great. Corner units can now be fully utilised with glide – out magic corner baskets and carousels, these are now made of steel as opposed to the wobbly plastic systems which preceded them. Pull out larders in kitchens are also far more sophisticated in design and more robust in manufacture than ever before.
A bespoke kitchen can also steal additional depth for kitchen worktops, so as well as increased storage below, you can also maximise your workspace. If you have a high ceiling in your kitchen you can add extra cupboards via top boxes, for items that are not used so frequently. Inglish Design kitchens often include wall cupboards that run flush to the worktops creating a feature, but also gaining extra storage space. If fitted with a tambour door you can hide your toaster and kettle in here when not in use. This hidden storage works particularly well in modern minimalist style kitchens. Planning your kitchen ergonomically can help you to decide the best position for things to be stored. For example crockery cupboards near the dishwasher. Designing your kitchen into specific zones will make the space easier to work in, and your storage more logical and easier to manage. Small details like a bin bag drawer above an integral bin, or a drawer for oven trays beneath the oven can work really well. In traditional kitchens were a new kitchen is being built up to an Aga, not only can we make cabinets with access panels for controls, but we can use all of the space for the kitchen cabinetry wisely, as we are not restricted to standard widths and sizes. If your kitchen is small it doesn’t mean it has to be less stylish or less functional – but it will require meticulous planning and well designed cabinets. Why be hindered by standard sizes ? A well designed larder cupboard can store vasts amounts of dry foods, and clever selection of appliances and where they are positioned can make a big impact on usable storage space.
