Our painted furniture is very popular, using the finest quality paint our finishing team paint every piece by hand. The look is timeless and elegant. Colour choice allow any style to be acheived and handle choice can also take bedroom furniture from plain and undertstated to glamorous and opulent. Whether your bedroom furniture has plain shaker doors or moulded and panelled doors the painted finish is beautiful. The great thing about a painted finish is its flexibillity, so in time if you wish to change your bedroom design the colour can be changed, totally transforming the room.

Oak Wardrobes and Bedroom Furniture

Oak bedroom furniture has been a core part of our business for many years. Oak is a timber which never seems to move from fashion trends, its hues are subtle and yet warm, and make a bedroom very homely and inviting. Over the past 10 years the use of Walnut for bedroom furniture has increased massively. At Inglish Design we have made many walnut wardrobes and walnut dressing rooms. The richness of colour in Walnut as a timber makes it very striking for bedroom furniture, adding drama and also grandeur. Sitting comforatbly against antique beds and furniture or designed to be contemporary this timber has no boundaries, as well as it aesthetic beauty it provides a hard wearing durable material making it perfect for wardrobes and bedroom furniture.

Sliding Door Wardrobes

Still a popular choice,  the sliding door wardrobe suits many bedrooms. Unlike a lot of the mass manufactured sliding door wardrobes available, we pride ourselves on having good quality sliding door equipment. This makes such a difference to the longevity of such wardrobes. We also have the ability to manufacture for any size of space. Sliding door wardrobes are particularly good is you are designing a bedroom in an attic space, where you perhaps dont have the space or budget for wardrobe carcasses.

Pannelled Wall Wardrobes – with no handles

An increasingly common request from our clients for bedrooms is the creation of a panelled wall, which looks to be simply that but in fact conceals storage. This works best in a painted finish, but could euqlly be in timber. Doors are hung on concealed hinges, and open via touch release catch. It is a cleaver way to disguise a wardrobe being in a bedroom, particulalry if you want to make a feature of a bed, or just want to simplify the room visually.

Dressing Rooms

Another aspect of bedroom design which is flooding  interior design currently is the inclusion of a dressing room within properties.  Whether you convert a spare bedroom, create a dressing room area in your bedroom or off a hallway, dressing rooms are a huge asset to any home. Inglish Design can make dressing room furniture with or without doors – generally if there is a door into a dressing room then clients tend to leave the doors off dressing room furniture, however it depends on the style of space you want. The key thing about any dressing room is the space planning and understanding the clients needs for storage. Many dressing rooms have built in lighting, and dressing tables as well as wardrobes.
