Although Inglish Design is known in Harrogate as a bespoke kitchen company we also make furniture for many other rooms. Made to measure bedrooms, bookcases and studies are regularly made by our skilled cabinetmakers. As you will see from our Projects page we have many examples of  furniture including fitted bookcases, bespoke bedroom furniture, and occasional furniture for dining and living areas.

Our FREE DESIGN SERVICE allows us to work with our clients and establish not only the correct style of furniture, but also something which is made to measure, fitting the space perfectly and fulfilling its requirements. Below are some of the more common rooms which we work on in peoples homes, and a short description of what we do.

Home Study Design by Inglish Design

Working from home has become common practice.  Most homes that we work on in Harrogate and the surrounding areas include a study or an area of a room which could be classified as one. A bespoke study can provide you with everything you need from a workspace while at the same time blending with the surrounding of your home interior.  A made to measure desk, or freestanding desk can include filing, storage, and even integrate your pc and printing equipment. Often we make filing cabinets, shelving and bookcases. A well designed home study makes working from home easier and  more practical than being in the office ! We can integrate everything which you require, from integrating servers, safes and telephone systems to lockable storage.  We can design your study furniture so that it is ergonomically correct, but also aesthetically pleasing. Whether your study furniture is traditional or contemporary in style, in any timbers such as Oak, Walnut or Cherry, or in a painted finish – anything is possible ! We can even design your study furniture to be integrated into a kitchen area, or completely concealed behind sliding doors. Our filing cabinets include solid oak drawers on soft close fittings, taking either double or single width filing and can be locked if required. Stationery cabinets can include media and sound systems such as Sonos (www.sonos.com).  Made to measure Bookcases and integrate lighting systems, include notice boards and have concealed storage. Really our home study furniture can be as simple as a desk or as comprehensive as a fully designed made to measure home office solution.

Living Room Furniture by Inglish Design

Our Living room furniture designs also vary on each project. Many homes simply require a single element i.e. a television cabinet, perhaps a coffee table, side tables, or some display cabinets. We can design and make bespoke furniture as a single piece, match it to existing furniture, or design a range of furniture for you. Often we work alongside Harrogate Home Cinema and this way we can integrate all of your home theatre requirements seamlessly into our furniture. Our cabinetmakers can make and fit your furniture in any timber and any finish – our bespoke furniture gives you the freedom of choice, as opposed to having to select furniture from a catalogue. We even offer a fantastic range of custom made sofas should you require seating fro your room !

Dining Furniture by Inglish Design

Getting a dining table which is a size which works for you is not always an easy task. Often the mass produced dining tables available are in set sizes – but do you ever feel like you want a bit more room for your guests ? or do you have a space that needs a dining table but all the standard sizes jump from being too small to just a bit too big ? Maybe you know the style of table you want, but need it to be an extendable dining table. Having a made to measure  dining table is the solution. Whether it is an oak dining table, walnut dining table or even a painted dining table – as always with Inglish Design anything is possible ! Dining Room furniture can also include dining chairs,sideboards,display cabinets,or servers. We can match existing furniture or design and make your on unique dining furniture range.

Bedroom Furniture

Made to measure bedroom furniture will not only maximise and personalise your storage options, but will also add value to your home. A bespoke bedroom by Inglish Design will provide you with a high quality bedroom solution and furniture which will last for many years. We make any sort of bedroom furniture, but popular choices are oak wardrobes, or painted bedroom furniture. We can make our bedroom furniture with sliding doors or hinged doors, or in the case of many dressing rooms we can design open bedroom storage solutions.
