So below we explain our kitchen design service, and how this level of customer service then continues through to the completion of your new luxury kitchen.

Step 1 – Kitchen Survey & first Meeting

Your first meeting with Inglish Design will happen at your convenience, either at your home or in our showroom. Our designer will listen to your requirements, and create a design brief for the project. The nature of the kitchen project will be discussed – you might be replacing your old kitchen, building an extension, or perhaps building a new home from scratch. If you are using an existing room we will measure the space. If it is a space yet to be built then we can work from Architects drawings. We will discuss your expectations of the space in terms of function and lifestyle. We will then discuss the style of kitchen you want, what type of appliances you are interested in, and the overall look and feel you want from your new kitchen. The meeting allows us ot create a kitchen design brief, which is important so that we can provide you with a working concept. Because we are interior designers as well as bespoke cabinetmakers we can design the kitchen to fit the space perfectly and also look fantastic.

Step 2 – Kitchen Design Presentation

The presentation of our design is very important, as it allows us to explain to you our kitchen proposal. When we design a kitchen we consider the ergonomics of the space, as well as making the kitchen look great. At this stage we can discuss any alterations you might want to make to the design, and also discuss all cupboards and their internal layouts. The presentation can be at your home or in our showroom, generally it is best in our showroom as we can explain materials and finishes more easily. The presentation will also include a quotation, this will allow you to see the budget required for the kitchen, so it gives us the opportunity to discuss this openly. Because all of the kitchens we make are bespoke, and as such made to meausure, as a “one off” we price each job individually. We are not like many kitchen companies who overprice their kitchens which then allows them to offer big discounts – our pricing is fair and honest. So this meeting means we can not only discuss how to meet you budget expectations, but also demonstrate exactly what an Inglish Design kitchen includes.

Step 3 – Kitchen Order

Once a final design is agreed on we will then discuss timescales and payment terms.  A final meeting is generally required at this stage, so that we can confirm all aspects of the kitchen, – there may even be small alterations to the design at this stage. The key thing is that our clients understand the kitchen fully,  and are excited and confident about placing their order with Inglish Design. Once the deposit is paid we will provide fully specified drawings for your plumber, electrician, builder and architect. We will discuss the project roll out and our requirements, and arrange a survey meeting to check all dimensions.

Step 4 – Kitchen Installation

We are experienced project managers, so the period of time up until we arrive on site will be managed to fall in line with everyone else who is involved in the project. Working alongside other tradesmen is key to any contract going smoothly, and communication is vital. We will attend site/ your home when required to check measurements and monitor the general progress of the job. The kitchen cabinets and furniture are always the final part of a kitchen rennovation, so by watching the works progress we can keep an accurate view on timescale. Our skilled cabinetmakers will manufacture your kitchen to the exact dimensions of the space. The same team manufacturing will then attend site to install your kitchen. This way we can ensure that every kitchen is installed swiftly and without complications. We know that by using one team on each kitchen there will be pride and care taken on every kitchen installation. In our business there is simply nothing better than to see a job through from start to finish. There will always be a senior member of staff overseeing your kitchen installation, and your designer will visit periodically throughout the installation as well. As we are on site throughout the job we can ensure complete customer satisfaction, and make the experience easy for our customers. As always our team will snag the kitchen before they leave site, so we always know our customers are happy. Our designer will then make a final visit in order to complete the kitchen project.
