Its is a word associated with quality and sought after products. Many companies realise this and use this word in marketing and promotion, however under scrutiny what they really do is far from bespoke, or it is bespoke in the very smallest prop0rtion. The Definition : Bespoke is an adjective for anything commissioned to a particular specification. “Custom-made”, “made to order”, “made to measure” and sometimes “hand-made” are near-synonyms. “Off-the-shelf” and in clothing “ready-to-wear” are the opposites.

The word bespoke is derived from the verb to bespeak, to “speak for something”. Inglish Design believe this truly is the case with all of our work. Our bespoke kitchens and furniture do “speak for something”, they speak for our clients. Everything we make is unique to them. Made to the size, style and finish they want. Such choice may seem overwhleming, but we have vast experience of designing, space planning, manufacturing and hand finishing, so we guide our clients through the process and enable them to have a truly bespoke product.

Our design service is based around a committment to excellent customer service, and is built on a foundation of years of experience as interior designers. So when we design for example a kitchen, we don’t just arange kitchen cabinets, we design the concept, the layout and every single aspect and component of the kitchen as a room to ensure the perfect result. We also design furniture for any other room in the home, no matter how big or small, and with no restriction on use or purpose of the room. Dressing rooms, Bedrooms, studies, cinema rooms, hobby rooms, pantrys, boot rooms, and sinlge pieces or ranges of furniture such as bookcases, display cabinets, dressers, gun cabinets……the list is endless.  Any furniture we make is as bespoke as our clients want it to be, there is no brochure as there are no set ranges or styles.

From the design, the bespoke kitchen or furniture is then manufactured by hand, and finally stained, oiled, painted or lacquered by hand. This is all done in our workshops in Knaresborough, near Harrogate.
