Design Process

Firstly, our bookcase designs begin with a client meeting. This allows you to tell us exactly what you want. Then we will measure up. This allows discussion on the space and the style for the bookcase. Bookcases can be made to be freestanding or fitted. Because the bookcases are bespoke made, this allows us to even make them for angled ceilings or out of square walls. Your bookcases can combine storage and display areas for anything you want.  We will discuss every detail. Then, perhaps the furniture will include lighting, or sometimes even a TV. Finally, we will discuss paint colour and handles for the finished look.

Hand Painted Finish

Using paint by Farrow and Ball  or Little Greene Paint Company we paint all of our bookcases by hand.

This gives them a unique finish, and a look of quality. You can see the brushstrokes and skill involved. Clients can choose any colour they wish.

A hand painted finish is a soft look, which matches any interior scheme. The style of the bookcase can decide on whether it looks modern or traditional, However, the colour will affect the interpretation of this style as well.
