Painted Bookcases Harrogate

Painted Bookcases in Harrogate have become a regular installation for Inglish Design. when you buy one of our bookcases, you can have pretty much anything you want.  Indeed, today we have installed some more stunning Painted bookcases, which as always were made to measure and tailored to the clients’ needs. For this project we were working in an attic space. Furthermore, the room was to be used as TV lounge. Your Bookcase can be designed to work in any room, and indeed you can use it all sorts of storage or purposes.

The Design

These painted bookcases had to provide storage. So, the clients TV also had to be included on a pull and tilt bracket. This was done by adding a false wall to the back of the bookcase which could support this. The void to the rear of this allowed the TV cables to drop down to the cabinet below. The cabinets below provided open storage to the centre. This allowed the Sky box and CCTV equipment to be exposed for access. To each side of this there were cabinets and drawers for storage. The top section of the bookcase has open shelves for books and ornaments. You can have an Inglish design Bookcase made to suit anything you like. Lighting

Lighting is always an important part of all design. Each of the shelves includes a low voltage down light. These are recessed into each shelf. The client opted to operate the lights by using socket to the rear of the cabinet.  A dimmer switch was mounted onto the side of the bookcase to switch the lights on and off. A dimmer switch is always good as it means when you are watching the TV the lighting level can be reduced. In fact, you can integrate all sorts of lighting into our bookcases depending on your requirements. You can work most of our cabinet lights from a socket. Or you can involve an electrician to allow these to work from the room switch.

Colours

This bookcase was hand painted in Farrow and Ball Purbeck Stone. Purbeck Stone is a clean and understated mid grey that resembles the colour of stone found on the Isle of Purbeck, close to Dorset. Purbeck Stone is the strongest of the Easy Neutrals, sitting contentedly as part of a calming scheme with Cornforth White, Wevet and Ammonite in homes both old and new. Then, the surface of the bookcase separating top and bottom sections was made in Oak. Furthermore, Oak provides a warm tone to all schemes and works well against hand painted finishes. Also, there were other oak details in the room such as the staircase and skirting boards. Your bookcase can be painted in nay Farrow and Ball or Little Greene Paint Company colours.
