Hand Painted Kitchen Harrogate
Hand Painted Kitchen Harrogate
This hand painted kitchen was made in Harrogate and fitted in Yorkshire.
An absolutely stunning result with this kitchen. Inglish Design was involved from the outset with this large kitchen extension. We designed the kitchen, manufactured and installed it. Also included in the scheme was interior design services. The TV area with built in shelving and cabinets were also included. Also supplied was a sideboard with a walnut top and hand painted cabinets. Our work continued into the utility room where we designed a large Boot Room area and laundry area.
The Design
The space planning and design of this kitchen started with a very large space. This had to include a kitchen which was large enough for entertaining, dining and relaxing. The client wanted a large island with seating for at least four people. The brief also included needing a dining area, and a space for a large “L” shaped sofa are for watching TV. In addition, the client wanted to integrate piano into the room! The space had large bifold doors to one entire wall – which was also to be taken into consideration. The client wanted the space to be light and airy but also relaxing and not too clinical. The hand painted finish was completed using Farrow and Ball paint.
The Appliances
The key feature to the back wall of the kitchen area was a run of large Siemens appliances/ This gave the client a large wine fridge, full height fridge, and a full height freezer. We also included Ovens and a warming drawer. The island had to include a large sink and dishwasher. The side wall of the kitchen was a long run of cabinets. So, we broke this up with a chimney surround for the large hob with a breakfront. This extensive length of fitted kitchen cabinets then completed with a beautiful, curved cabinet.
The Worktops
The size of this stunning fitted kitchen was a challenge for worktops. The island had to be in once piece, and the other areas had to be in as few pieces as possible. The client chose a white quartz, which kept the end result light. This worked very well with the dark Walnut accents in the breakfast bar. The breakfast bar in the island was a piece of bespoke craftsmanship in itself. Shaped with a solid piece of walnut in an oval. With a matching oval pedestal below. The result is visually stunning.
