Never has a statement been more true than when designing a bookcase for a home. Whether you are opting for alcoves with shelves, a wall of books, or something instead to display objects of art, and picture frames – the bookcase design is key. At Inglish Design, we make your bookcases to measure your chosen space. This could be a using an area within a hallway,\u00a0 lounge, library,\u00a0 home office, playroom or perhaps even a childs bedroom. You may wish floor to ceiling shelves, or you might prefer storage cabinets to the bottom. Sometimes drawers are included, these may evening be filing drawers. The most important thing is that when we design a bookcase whether it be freestanding or wall to wall, that it looks great and also provides the client with a\u00a0 working solutions. It may be purely aesthetic, with feature lights. It may be based totally on function to store hundreds of books. More often than not the design lies somewhere between the two. Hand painted bookcases provide a subtle backdrop to any room. Using Farrow and Ball Eggshell paint\u00a0 provides our clients with a varied palette of colours.\u00a0 So it may be that your bookcase is painted a light colour to blend in with the surrounding walls, or you might decide to opt for a may bold colour choice. No matter what colour you opt for, a bookcase can provide any room with a feature wall. The living rooms is, for most people the biggest room in their home and the place where they spend most time and are most likely to bring visitors. It is therefore worth considering items like music systems and televisions, and whether they need to be housed within the bookcase.
