Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bookcases by Inglish Design of Harrogate
At Inglish Design we have had our busiest year ever, and this seems set to carry on until the end of the year. So what have we been working on ? Literally all sorts of bespoke commissions from beautiful kitchens, to fitted bookcases, bedrooms, dressing rooms, and pantrys.
There was a time when bespoke kitchens were the core part of our business, however recent years have proven that our diversity allows us to work on all sorts of projects. As our business reaches its tenth year, we are finding that more often than not we are being involved in full house projects, or returning to clients to complete further works after doing one room. Our versatility and design skills allows us to be involved in every step of the project from designing room layout and furniture, to helping our clients with the interior design aspects of a room as well. Projects this year have involved a new build in Yorkshire, whereby we provided furniture for almost every room. This included a large kitchen and dining area, walk in pantry, utility and boot room, large bookcases with integral sliding doors, a study, a dressing room, and bedroom furniture for various rooms. We have then completed kitchens for other clients which – all uniquely designed, following different briefs and styles.
In addition to kitchens, we have been busy making bookcases. These are great as each bookcase we make is different, whether they are built into alcoves or spanning an entire wall. Often these incorporate a television, sometimes a fireplace, and can include storage for virtually anything our clients want. This may be relevant to lifestyle, hobbies an interests or gadgets !
Another large part of our business has been manufacturing wardrobes. Because we can manufacture to any size and shape we are experienced at making fitted wardrobes for awkward spaces or strange ceiling shapes. Walk in dressing rooms are increasingly popular, and these seem to becoming larger and larger every year. Central islands, designated storage and security seem to feature in many of these. Our latest design included a hidden room accessed via the back of one wardrobe – so nothing is outwith the realms of possibility. Our latest dressing room design includes feature panels in a decorative snakeskin vinyl, and alongside this room we are making a bed, upholstered headboard and bedroom furniture for the master bedroom.
We will be visiting many of our clients with a photographer soon – so watch this space for the photos !
